If it makes you feel any better at Christmas I ordered some cute boots for my girlies... what I got was a box flap with an address label on it... yes, just a flap...not even a whole flap... Thankfully they were insured and I had time to order more.
I use to have the same problem with Sears and they never warned me either. Also read your facebook expose (my wife joined) but I remain highly skeptical if it has any merit for me.
Rebecca, I've had pretty good experiences with ebay, but I guess you can't escape the one bad egg in the nest forever! I emailed the company that sent it and they replied with "an employee sent the wrong item, we will resend." Your experience was way worse than mine...Christmas presents getting lost in the mail is a nightmare, especially in my case, since I shop mostly online these days. At least the flap made it to your house, so you knew there was a serious problem with the order :-)

Facebook does have lots of merits, but many downsides as well (as with anything--like if you eat too much of a food it becomes bad for you). I plan to go back, and I wouldn't discourage you from it. Something about my age group and early mid-life crises that I'm seeing in people, maybe myself too, and I don't want to hasten that. It's great to be able to share family photos, though, if you're not prone to be embarrassed easily! Glad to see you here!
